Stern would probably rig the court.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

why are people ridiculing this? the players/coaches/owners should have their lawyers challenge this. Truthfully a gag order to be punishable by a fine deemed worthy by the head of the organization you are banned from speaking about in a negative light. It's very crazy.

Oh, that's what he meant - I really didn't understand the run-on, stream of consciousness type of post that he made.

Now that I understand the OP: it's not that crazy at all. The NBA is a private organization that can fine its employees / independant contractors as it likes (barring actual violations of the law) - if the NBA were a governmental organization, then it'd be quite different.

well yeah it is a message board but isnt the point of a message board to communicate ideas in words to each other and words make more sense when you separate them with punctuation or decide to form them into coherent sentences dont you think or is it just me maybe its just me i dont know

As for the governmental organizations part of your post: I hope you dont think the NBA is a governmental organization. For your sake, I really do.

Yeah, you're right. It wouldn't because it is a private organization governed by the stipulations in its collective bargaining agreement. They could hold out to enact change, but not under the current provisions.

Exactly, the NBA's powers over players would all be specified by the CBA. So in effect, players trade off additional cash, for less rights at work.
