Game 6 Clips

Post#1 » by pillwenney » Fri Jun 20, 2008 7:54 am

I figured some people would want to see this, so here they are--at least before the league takes them down while leaving clips up from every other game from that series.

I always laugh at conspiracy theorists, but wow... Anyone who says those were just bad ref calls, is sticking his head in the sand. The expression on Kings bench says it all - all they could do is laugh.

Amazing

I didn't watch them all but around 1:26 of the first clip Bibby gets tagged with a foul when he was a foot away from Kobe

Then in then last clip the game is pretty much given to LA when Kobe elbows Bibby in the face and gets FT's for it. Bibby gets charged with the foul and a ref is watching the whole thing. Absolutely either the worst blown call I've witnessed or the worst gimmee I've ever seen.

SAC was robbed of a trip to the Finals. Huge * by that win.

Chris Webber: Best passing big man ever? I forgot how fun this kings team was to watch.

The game was either rigged by the league or the refs had a personal vendetta against Sacramento.

I know I'm going to get called a homer for this, but it honestly feels like a much more blatant version of game 5 Utah vs. L.A. this year. Calls where no one even touches the opposition player, silly ticky-tack fouls all going against one team, etc.

It has everything a conspiracy theorist would want: Large market team, mega stars in Kobe and Shaq, a low profile team getting jobbed out by the refs. Even our glorious commissioner admits the game was poorly officiated and he usually never gives an inch.

I never say rigged. I refuse to believe my favorite league is rigged, but I put it in the suspicious sports moments. Just one of those moments you wonder what is going on and makes you question what you are watching.

I think Donaghy was just picking at an open wound. He knows its an easy place to hit at the NBA. Game six Kings/Lakers is a low point in the league history. However, Donaghy was manipulating the over/under on games. Outright rigging games for the betterment of the league and such isn't want he was doing. There's no correlation.

No, but he's among them. Walton, Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Divac... Webber is definitely in that list comfortably.

all great, but I'll take Sabonis over them..

this was just disgusting..I remember watching this game and not knowing what to think..I knew the Lakers got all the calls in most games, but this one was the worst officiated game in sports history..the video reminded me of so much..

I hope somebody investigates it as thorough as possible and the NBA has to give LA the *, or strip them of the title..completely undeserved, and the better team lost the series..speaks volumes on how great those Kings were, if they were able to make the game a 1-shot game at the end of regulation, even while they were playing a 8 on 5 game..

the worst part of all is that Shaq was making his FT's..so you combine one of the games that Shaq is actually making a good % of his FT's(rare) with a bunch of calls that weren't even close to being fouls, and the result isn't pretty..

I feel bad for Sacto and their fans..that whole team deserved their title, and the fans deserved the parade in the city..but of course the league couldn't let their precious Lakers lose..

you know it's bad when Bibby is getting hammered by Shaq and doesn't get a call, but Rick Fox gets a **** questionable call on a post-up in crunch time..disgusting..

Chris Webber was such a **** monster back then..

I love Walton's comments..speaking the truth, unlike ABC and ESPN..

While viewing those incredible videos (Damn...I think I'm convinced now.), I came across a few more videos that escaped the wrath of Stern.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=83IQlYGMDZY

-I know I know...its Wade. But give it a rest.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=fvkKdXLwt0U

-Suns-Spurs Game 3. Meh, I just go by the video title.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=JU5IPnb-C4Q

-Donaghy vs. Canada; Advantage: Ratface.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=JZyD3Zjuxvw

-This one's another chachooka masterpiece (the first was the travesty in CLE - Lakers fans know what I'm talking about).

http://youtube.com/watch?v=9u4tFg6Sl1s

-Warriors vs. Bulls (Biedrins gets a freaking warning from TimFace...wow!)

There's more...but nature calls (I'm wasted dude!)

i gotta laugh at some of those clips..you can find a bad call every game, you cant claim a fix on every single bad call (lol @ the Bosh video) :D .... 30 minutes worth of it with an accusation from Donaghy makes you raise your eyebrow though.

I'm so pissed the Nets would have had a very realistic chance to beat those Kings in the finals... Don't get me wrong that Kings team was good but god did they have some players capable of pulling some historic choke jobs.

All else being said a series between the '02 Kings and '02 Nets at least on paper appears as though it would have been fun to watch. The all around passing of that Kings team vs. the controlled fast-break of the Nets led by a prime Jason Kidd... Oh well...

Im not sure about that. If we beat the Lakers in 6 at Staples. Which they swept you guys, how would you think the Nets would beaten the Kings? The Kings were by FAR the best team in that year. Almost the majority of the basketball world would have said that the Kings would have stomped the Nets in 4 just like the Lakers. Not taking away from the Nets but I dont think they would have stand a chance against a team were arguably one of the best teams in NBA history that didn't won the title.

The Kings would have maybe given up a game to the Nets, but that's it. The Nets' biggest weakness was that they had no means of containing the most dominant player in the game. That guy was Shaq, who just dismantled them almost single-handedly. But then again due to matchups, its possible the series could have gone past five games (Kings-Nets). Regardless, I still believe that the WCFs that year were basically the NBA Championship.

Update: They removed the Game 6 videos from Youtube! Great job Stern!

Ugh, usually I can't stand conspiracy theories, but that game was messed up big time.
