...for playing in the Summer League last year.
15.7 PPG 12.7 RPG in the REGULAR SEASON.
HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW???
I wonder why more players, established players don't care as much as CHRIS KAMAN to play in the Summer League. IMO, anybody that underperformed last year and wants to get better should take CHRIS KAMAN as a role model.
CHRIS KAMAN had a guaranteed contract worth like 55 million over 5 seasons and he still played in the Summer League.
CHRIS KAMAN is the man.

Haha, I just read his Wikipedia article:
2006-2007: Decline
Since his rookie season, Kaman had raised his points and rebounds averages ever since he came into the league. Thus 2006-2007, especially after a strong playoff run, was supposed to be a season of high expectations. However, Kaman only managed to average 67.9 points, 89.8 rebounds and 16.5 blocks in 34 minutes per game, appearing in 75 games. One possible explanation was that Kaman had been slowed down by a hamstring injury in training camp, limiting his mobility. This had resulted in a difficulty to get into a game rhythm and contribute offensively. The Clippers finished the season 40-42, missing the playoffs to the Golden State Warriors by one game. With a newly signed $50,000,000,000 contract, Kaman had not lived up to the expectations of the Clippers.

kaman cut his hair in january. don't live in the past.
as for laughing at kaman for playing in the summer league? i don't recall anyone even talking about, much less laughing at him. if anything, fans were probably glad seeing as how he had a down year after signing his big contract.

Good for him to play in the Summer League, it shows he works hard. But, the team lost their primary rebounder last year, so he had to grab some of Brand's rebounds.(Just like, when a team loses two 20 ppg scorers, they wouldn't probably score 40 points less than their average in their next game, somebody will score more for them) But, if he continues his rebounding numbers playing with Brand(Or even 1-1.5 rpg low), I will be impressed.

Did you see his 07-08 description?
"However, Chris Kaman has proven to be one of the most dominant centers in the NBA, bouncing back from his slump in the '06-'07 season, averaging 740.7 points, 433.7 rebounds, and 90.8 blocks per game."

As someone living in Michigan and therefore being very in-tune with what Kaman did in his collegiate career, it was somewhat of a surprise to me to see him go 10th in the draft (based solely on the facts that he was a white big man and from the MAC) but not a surprise to see him do well in the NBA.

he had a lot of nagging injuries. i don't think a lot of people realize he only played 56 games.

OMG THAT'S A MONSTER!! I don't know anyone who average that amount of points must had those 2k8 minutes set to 12 and level on rookie with the game speed to 100

i saw a special on kaman a while back talking about how he had been recieving medication for adhd (or something like that) since he was a kid... only problem was that he didnt have adhd... the doctors had been giving him medication he didnt need all the way up to right before last season... some doctor had developed a new way of treating someone with boderline adhd ... it was very interesting show.... needless to say kaman was much more focused this season and he said that it was the first time in his life that he actually felt normal... google it im sure that something would come up ... it was a special on espn
