Judging by the fact that this slipped to the bottom of the page before getting a response from a Blazers fan, let's keep the team-specific topics about signing 11th and 12th men on our team's own boards.
Seriously, Portland fans are the only ones that care about Rudy Fernandez.

Rudy will be a 6th man not 11th or 12th. I love his game and expect him to have a great career in the NBA! Definitely my favourite player on the blazers. I wish Boston drafted him...

Thanks for your input. The fact that you think Fernandez is going to be a 11th or 12th man on our team just goes to show how little you know about him. He may start for us on opening night. He's that good.

Rudy Fernandez is not the typical Euro with potential without proving anything..this guy looks legit..look at his stats..21pts 50% 4assists..that is sick stat line for Europe

Well you responded to it. Rudy is a 6th man or a starter not a "11th or 12th man". You should get educated on a subject before you post and criticize it.

I'm not saying Rudy isn't legit. I'm saying he's not gonna be a starter next season. You don't jump from one league to the next, and start that year without missing a beat. It took Calderon, arguably the most effective euro guard in the NBA right now, a couple seasons to gain recognition and a starting spot, even with gaudy statistics. Saru was one of the best guards in the euroleague before he came to the states and bombed. It goes both ways. Saying Rudy was a 12th man was hyperbole. He will *probably* be a rotation player. He won't be a sixth man, you need more energy or experience to take that role. 6th man will probably be in the frontcourt, since Oden is young and coming off an injury, and LaMarcus is still developing as well. My point was that the only people who care about Rudy coming over are Blazers fans. Look who's posting in this topic. Blazer fans. If you get in a discussion about what moves the Blazers were making before the draft, they would all rave about how Rudy's supposed to come over and make a huge impact. Nobody else ever talks about Rudy. It's just not a topic for the GB.

LOL. You seriously hurt your argument with your lack of knowledge. Rudy has to beat out Bayless, 19 year old rookie and Blake, a journeymen PG who played well last year. He could be a significant contributor to a young team competing for playoff positioning. This thread is no different than a Luis Scola or Tiago Splitter thread on GB.
Frankly, if you look at the GB, half of the threads are pointless, it's the offseason...chill.

I thought only Raptors fans were drama queens. I guess I was wrong, we're no match for Portland fans. Seriously, guys, you haven't won the championship yet, relax. For all we know, Oden might blow up his knee yet again next season. Stay Humble kid.

It's not his fault no one really cares about what happens to Rudy Fernandez.

He gave up alot of money to go to Portland with the expectation that Allen will reward him later on...

Rudy's a great player, I really wanted the Raptors to get a late pick to take him. He was a steal at 20 and could be their future starting SF.
Bayless
Roy
Fernandez/Outlaw/Webster?
Aldridge
Oden

You know-nothings shouldn't speak up if you don't know a damn thing about the guy. I love how the guy basically claimed Fernandez is a scrub, then goes on to try and educate us on what and what not he is and is not going to do in his rookie season. Like he has a clue. Fernandez is a very, very good player. And I think blazer fans know a bit more about him, considering we've been following his situation for months, than a bunch or RealGM'ers who've never even heard of the guy.

Everyone on the Blazers is > than everyone else in the NBA. We get it. It's getting old though. We don't need a thread on every single player on the team.

I love the fact that he is basing his position on the ieda that since portland fans are saying they think the player will be good for thier team, it is wrong. While because he is not a fan, is apparent lack of info on the situation is immaterial because because his lack of fanship, he can take the moral highground (not sayin that I do) and belittle anyone who disagrees with him. Jésus Christos man, pull that out it's gotta be uncomfortable.
@Relentless88: Rudy is not a 3, never has, never will. He is a Combo guard (somewhere around a 1.7 guard, leaning towards SG)

Here we go again. Gotta love the rationalizing in this forum. If we even attempt to defend our players from an analysis that's just plain wrong, we are called the biggest homers in the world.
There's no way to win in this forum.
