It was in April so I suspect that the Bulls did their do diligence and found that it was an isolated incident.
I bet he has something written into his contract though.

How can he be suspended for something that happened before he was drafted? He wasn't even an employee yet. Actually, has he even signed his contract? He's still not an employee.

The suspension was a team punishment and not all teams deal with their players the same way. But as someone has already mentioned. he's not even an employee. For that matter he wasn't even drafted at the time of the infraction.
