They have also said that Shawn Marion is the DPOY...

People will believe whatever they want to believe, ... There was some piss poor refing and that was that.

I disagreed with many of their evaluations, so no this doesn't prove anything

The basis for these stats are the writer's subjective opinions on whether or not a called "looked right" or not. He even admits that his TV was faulty, and he probably would not catch a lot of subtle things.

So if I write 20 pages on why the Lakers should have their 2002 title taken away, does that "prove" that I'm right too?

Hahahaha...I love how no calls aren't in the article. Bias officiating isn't just calls, but also no calls.

terrible analysis..lack of no calls, all subjective anyways..

nothing can "prove" whether it was rigged or not, unless it's a credible source within the NBA..

watching the actual game and looking at this "analysis" shows a huge difference..

2002*..

i'm not sure why anyone would keep reading after this little snipet

2) the conclusions of my review can easily be challenged
- my qualifications are suspect: I've never been a basketball ref at any level. I have however watched thousands of NBA games, large parts of them in slow motion, and have a decent sense of the 'standards' applied to the game today.
- For this game I'm working from pretty grainy videotape transferred to DVD, which doesn't always lend clarity to the pulled back TV angles commonly used. Most egregious to this is that at times it was hard to distinguish between two of the refs (Delaney and Bernhardt)

It does, by no means end the argument about weather the game was rigged. He just adds his views to it. and with DCASH4's post, he is just pointing out his point of view and what could have/would have effected his opinions. Take it as a historical document: use this to help form your own opinions on it.

Good read btw. It missed a bit, like people have said on the no calls. But still, worth the read

No calls were not the complaint? Was there a bunch of Kings should have gotten more calls talk. I heard a lot of the Lakers were going to the line for no reason stuff. TD words were that the refs made up calls against the Kings. No calls could be added but is that even an issue. For the purpose of things TD was yapping his mouth about I think the article does disprove a lot of what he said.

All this proves is that you can use that stats on 82games.com to prove any basketball point in the known universe, whether its right or not.

This was a piece of utterly SUBJECTIVE crap. 100% opinion mongering, a.k.a. "I am right, you are wrong, nyeh nyeh". Who says that a call is "Right", "Probably right", "Maybe", "Probably Wrong" or "Wrong"?

Pathetic.

Best part: "Non call on accidental forearm to chin by Kobe trying to break free of Bibby to catch inbounds pass" -- Decision: "No Call" -- 82games verdict: "Maybe"

Kobe almost broke Bibby's jaw, and they say *MAYBE* a wrong call? LOOOOOLLLL!!!
