Im a big James Posey fan...just wanted to see what peoples opinions were on where he is off to? I see New Orleans is the latest rumour, that could sen the hornts to the chip i reckon.

My gut feeling is that he will stay put (althought I do see a weak team overpaying), but he'll stay with the winning team.

He's exactly what the Lakers need though. I hope they keep pushing for him, but I dont see it happening (even though they can offer him just as much as Boston can).

Yeah, but can they offer him a significant role with the likes of Walton, Radmonovic, and Ariza log jamming the 3?

dont eve put those three in poseys league lol....hed play in front of them its their minutes theyd have to worry about

Lakers have to clean up their SF glut somehow... you have 4 guys who can play, but have certain flaws (Ariza needs to get 3PT range over the summer).

If Ariza can improve his 3PT shot, the Lakers have their starting SF.

My guess is he'll stay in Boston. he's already stated that he'll only goto a contender and no real contender can offer him anymore then Boston.

I really like Posey too - but no, he would not. He'd help their shooting, defense, experience, depth...

But New Orelans still doesn't have enough creativity offensively... that was exposed by the Spurs in the playoffs, ultimately. After Paul and West, they don't have a guy who can create offense, or score with significance. Also, they don't have a good defensive wing in the starting line-up.

Their bench would still not be decent, as well. Posey, Wright, Pargo maybe? Need serious help up front, that can partially come internally from Armstrong, but still need another big man. Which should be a veteran.

Wright getting more time and likely consequently developing more will be key for them.

IN terms of the log jam. Who cares? Posey would be the primary back up at the 3 followed by Ariza. Walton can play gaurd for short periods of time and vlad can back up the 4. I've never seen the problem with a "log jam". It just means we'll be deep.

Using the MLE on a player like Posey would almost certainly spell the end of "The Machine" in purple & gold.

Posey's playing time at the 3 will be an absolute guarantee. With the way he plays, that won't ever be a question.

Pose will stay in Beantown......sorry Lakerfans......my bet is he stays home.......
