Local L.A. Radio on the Joe McDonald Show is reporting that earlier today, the station called Baron's reps and asked for an interview after tomorrow's press event introducing him as a Clipper. They declined.

Their people just called back and informed the station that tomorrow's press event has is not happening.

They called his reps earlier in the day and asked for an interview. They were told that he wont be doing interviews after the press conference.

They called now and were told that there wont be a press conference tomorrow.

No date or time has been set.

Did he change his mind???

Lakersground.net? We know Lakers fans love the Clippers.

Baron hasn't even been signed yet...how can there be a scheduled press event?

I can't see Golden State taking him back (I suppose it could happen).

So, would he go to Memphis?

How bad does Baron want to win? We have to ask ourselves this question. He's been wanting to be home in L.A. for a long time and now he finally has the chance to be there, along with making money. He may prefer just being in L.A. making money, being home and being able to do his movie producing over winning.

It's like not the Clippers were favorites to win the title even with Brand. The goal is to make the playoffs...it looks bleak now but you never know what can happen with the Clippers' new cap room.

Clipper fans were on top of the world a week ago. How they've fallen so much. They lost Brand and Maggette and possibly Baron Davis too.

Joe MacDonell is reporting it. Plus, tomorrow is sign day , so it would make sense that there would be press conference.

This is just a rumor based on what Joe said on his radio show. KLAC.

Did Elgin Baylor steal your lunch money or something?

It would make no sense for him to back out of his verbal agreement now. There are no other teams with any money to give him, unless he wants to sign a 1 year MLE deal with someone in hopes for a big payday the following season. The bottom line is that he is home playing in LA for a team with alot of cap space now to make a play for a FA either this year or next.

Am I missing something? There is no money out there for Baron except in LA, correct?

And what's funny is that Brand specifically asked for BD. And then he goes elsewhere.

.......ESPN.com reported late last week that Davis was the player Brand specifically asked Clippers management to chase in June.
