Do the Clippers with (insert PF) make the playoffs?

Say the Clippers get Okafor or Smith and keep Davis, do they make the playoffs? Assuming the following
1) Davis doesn't have a major injury
2) Kaman keeps up his production
3) Thornton continues his development
4) Either Okafor or Smith continue to develop.
Ya or nay?

I think Smith is a pipe dream, but they may be able to get Okafor if they really overpay him.
If they land one of them I still don't think they make the playoffs. They have zero depth and their starters are solid but not great. Kaman is probably their best asset. I'm hoping they land Okafor just because I think that would be an interesting team to watch.

Well assuming they get either of them. They'll prob be signed for less than brand, like 5 yrs 70 mil. They can still free up enough cap space (like 5 mil) to sign a few people to fill out the big man position as well as PG. They could probably pick up tinsley if he was waived and maybe Kwame Brown or something. They're good at SF with Thomas and SG with Mobley.

No, the Clips are not a playoff team just like last year the Warriors weren't a playoff team with Baron. Last years Warriors were much better than this years Clippers will be, unless Josh Smith signs there, and the it's maybe even. Okafor won't help them because he isn't the scoring threat either Smith or Brand are. The funniest thing about all of this free agent season is the the Clippers and Warriors look worse on paper than the did last year.

Lol, the Clips have become B-Diddy and the 7 dwarves. 25-30 win team.
Maybe the franchise ought to move to Seattle.

spurs
suns
mavericks
jazz
hornets
rockets
lakers
all of these teams have atleast 2 legit all-stars (have been all-star one day in the last 3 years), no way you can make the playoffs with only 1.

Yeah, with Okafor or Smith I think so. Without one of those two, probably not.

Im not sure how Okafor fits with Chris Kaman.
If they stole Josh Smith from my Hawks, absolutely they would make the playoffs.
Davis
Mobley/Gordon
Al Thornton
Josh Smith
Chris Kaman
That's a playoff squad.
Solid defense down low with Kaman the 7 footer and the best weakside shot blocker in the NBA.
What an athletic team too especially with EG in the game.
I hope it doesn't happen!
