MJ's 2 dunks from miss free throws in a single game?

Anybody remember? I think it was around 1989 or 1990. The Bulls were playing the Houston Rockets on the road. Pippen missed his second free throw and Jordan timed his moved from the 3-point line, accelerated and took off without any regard of the 6 or 7 players below battling for a rebound. He caught the ball in mid air and jammed it. Later in the game, a different quarter, Jordan once again duplicated the feat from another Pippen miss. It was the first time in NBA History that a player did this move, not only was it amazing, Jordan did it twice in a one game. Throughout his career, I think MJ did these dunks 6 or 7 times,or maybe more. The most famous one against Portland Trailblazers.

I'm not really sure if I've seen anyone else even try it. Anyone know?
There was also a season he was grabbing a lot of rebounds one handed. I'd love to have hands like that.

That's not a legal play anymore. Today, the players behind the 3 point line aren't allowed to go passed it until the ball hits the rim. So don't expect to see that happen anymore.

Yeah, and its a shame. Jordan had such a good read on rebounds that he knows how its gonna bounce on the release. The man is airborne in the perfect spot before the ball even bricks.

believe it or not, but jamaal tinsley actually did this once in a preseason game his 1st or 2nd season. don't think pacers fans knew he could even dunk before then.

Earl Boykins did a 360 between the legs dunk off a missed free throw when he played for the Warriors.

Both Kobe(though he missed the dunk a time or two) and Iverson have done these in games.. i used to always marvel at the guys who could time it, and climb over the 5 guys downlow for that putback.. simply amazing..

The Jordan putback dunk at the 15-16 second mark here seems like it might be vs. Houston (hard to tell):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMLwNih1VqcIt's insane how quickly he darts from off the camera to in the air for the dunk. Point A to point B in the blink of an eye. I don't think the story of him doing it twice in one game is true, though. I know he's done this about half a dozen times in his career, but I've never heard about him doing it twice in the same game.

Jordan23Forever, thanks for the link. That was one of the dunk I was talking about. I am 100% sure there was another dunk that MJ did in that same game.
I know other players have done it, but never twice in a single game, only the great Michael Jordan.

I watched Iverson do something like that against the Raptors once... it might've been in the '01 playoffs. Anyway, I was moderately shocked that the little bastard got that high into the air, it was extremely impressive, also because he finished 2-handed. He wasn't just fast when he was younger, he had some incredible air.
