...recently someone commented on Gilbert Arenas' blog within which he mentioned that no NBA player wants to play in Milwaukee. Someone (from Milwaukee) replied by saying that it's better than Toronto at least. Now, obviously that fool is ignorant as hell and has no credibility whatsoever since they obviously flap their gums about stuff they have no business commenting on. Anyone who has been to Toronto knows it's a world class city and imo top-5 in the league. Anyways, all ranting aside, I feel like my rankings are accurate but what are your feelings. By the way, I didn't just put Milwaukee last because of hate, it's actually the worst city in the league by far imho.

Aren't you and Gilbert flapping your gums about something you don't know about? Gilbert based his whole blog post off of stereotypes and now you are here saying Milwaukee is the worst city in the NBA. How is that any different than what that guy said about Toronto? So, if someone says something bad about Toronto he's a moron but if you say something bad about Milwaukee you're right? Get off of your high horse and don't judge a city until you've been there.

As for Gilbert. Whatever. The guy has his own opinion I just wish he wouldn't base it off of sample sizes. I mean, he has a right to not like the City of Milwaukee but if he's only been here for games how can he really judge? Plus, I hate how he speaks for all of the players in the NBA. What about the players on the Bucks right now? Andrew Bogut, Michael Redd, Joe Alexander, etc all love playing here. So Gilbert was just totally off base with his comments imo.

It doesn't change the fact that Toronto is probably the least desired destination for players, merely because its out of the country. I know its a great city but the ballers don't like it for some reason.

I would put Miami and LA first.

I hate the weather in NY.

isn't that completely subjective?? I mean I'd rather play in a city where the weather is cold(er). If it only were for the cities I'd love to play in Portland, Minneapolis, Toronto, Chicago and I would have loved to play in Seattle plus cities such as Philadelphia and Boston would be enticing as well.

I actually would have a problem playing in LA, Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston etc because I'd hate being there in summer. I dislike having temperatures of 80°F+ so I'd probably be the complete oppsosite of the majority.

Gilbert obviosly wanted to make fun of his friend RJ and not bash Millwaukee , even if Milwaukee really is that bad. ( which i don't know since i've never been there and most likely never will )

The funny thing is Milwaukee is, at this point, all but a suburb of Chicago anyway, and that's a place everyone loves.

I don't think anyone can give an objective answer to this question because we all want different things out of life.
For me it would be:

1. Bay Area
2. New York
3. Toronto


4. LA (I hated LA when I was there, but being the big city that it is, I'm sure I would like it more if I was actually staying there)
5. Sacramento (I've never been there but it's close to the Bay Area so it can't be that bad).

If Seattle still had a team they would be either 2nd or 3rd.

I live in LA, and you'd have to be crazy to rather live here than in Toronto, especially if you:

1. Breathe air.
or
2. Ever plan to go anywhere beyond walking distance.

9% state tax on your income ain't helping either.

Ok...I was hoping you'd be smart enough to read my last comment and realize I was talking from experience.
On another topic, since you seem to live in Milwaukee and wouldn't say it was the worst city in the league, where do you think is the worst city to play in the NBA?

3. Portland

I haven't been to any cities except Milwaukee, Chicago and Dallas and I like all them. So I can't really say since I haven't been to many cities.

Also, where did you say that you were talking from experience? You just said "in your honest opinion." How am I supposed to take that you've been here from that comment?

A far as many players are concerned Miami is the place to be.

I personally like the Northeast Cities: Boston, New York, and Philly.

Toronto is nice, but I liked Montreal more.

I have been to 90% of the cities in the NBA and the two worst - by a wide margin - are Detroit and Cleveland, though I have yet to visit Toronto, Philly, and L.A.

Yeah, I cannot imagine myself living outside the Bay Area for a long period of time; everywhere else is just so serious and boring. But for most people, it would probably be:

1. Los Angeles
2. New York
3. Miami

I can't really pick a top 5. I put LA over NY because New York weather gets way too cold; LA heat is annoying as **** too, but i'd rather be in the heat than the cold so I put LA first. Also, it's great to be around Hollywood. Miami would have been the perfect place for me if I had to choose a place outside the Bay Area, the weather in Miami is great although it gets really hot. I would put Miami first, but LA and New York are great 'cities' thats why they're top 2 for me.

A lot of people would rather live in LA just because of the city's big reputation. That's why I don't like it over there, i'd rather stay in the 'underdog' area of California.

I'm proud to be where I am from but I'll be completly honest. Michigan and the city of Detroit is one huge sinking ship. Michigan is often referred to being in a "one-state recession" The economy seems bad for the whole country but right now in Michigan things are just seemingly god awful. It doesn't surprise me that my Pistons don't get a whole lot of free agent interest.

If you think LA heat is "annoying as ****", and I don't think you'd think the weather in Miami was "great". LA doesn't get real hot that often compared to just about everywhere else in the country aside from the very western seaboard, especially the Bay.

It's like 69 degrees in San Francisco right now. And yeah my bad, I didn't mean that Miami weather is 'great'. It only feels great when you're out on the beach, but when you're walking around or driving, the heat really starts to burn.

What is the criteria you're basing it off of? Or is this just a personal preference?

Just the cities you like the most or have visited?

i agree that those 2 are the worst, the only cities i haven't been in are la, dallas, SA, and houston.

and i hate kicking a city while it's down but pre-katrina new orleans was a sh*thole.
