They announced the team that will help Team USA get ready:

C - Aldridge/Horford
PF - Durant/Green
SF - Iguodala/Martin
SG - Mayo/Head
PG - Rose/Stuckey

Team USA has to blow this team out by 100 points if they want to win the olympics...

Why didn't they assemble a competitive select team???
This team has 0 Cs, Two PFs will have to play C. 2 SFs at PF. and 4 SGs in the backcourt.

Iguodala is the only proven good/great player on this team...

When I saw Luther Head I laughed. But hey, hopefully people think he's good so that we can get some value back when we trade him.

When do they play, and will it be televised?

Why isn't Kevin Martin starting on that depth chart? No way Mayo starts over him.

Kevin Martin isn't a SF. He is a true SG. No way Mayo is the starting SG over Martin.

Where is Oden,Beasley,Josh Smith? Come on, i know luther head can shoot but is he really in the same conversation as the players i have just stated.

Do you think Shaq, T-Mac, and KG want to play in that game? They selected young guys that they will try to groom into future team USA squads. The 92 team lost to a group of college players in a practice. The 96 team was down 17 to a group of college players in an exhibition. I don't see why young NBA players can't give Team USA a few good practices.

In fact, the only people on that team known for playing defense are Iggy and maybe Horford.

Roy was selected but passed.

IMO you're slightly underrating that team. They certainly aren't good, but they do have some good players, other than AI2. For instance, LMA is very solid, Durant is a fine player, and Horford is a legit double double guy.

Very small team, with Durant and Green at PF, with only Adridge or Horford the pure post players/rebounders.

They could create some matchup problems, but they definitely needed another post player.

Its just a practice squad. They needed somone to beat up on. No big deal.

oden n beasely aren't in any conversation cuz they have never playd an nba game, but I didn't even knw luther head was still in the league lol, but we must realize this committee also invited kenderick perkins who is arguably the worst starting center in the nba

a lot of players declined. Rondo and Perk did from the C's i know

This is a team of guys WILLING to do it.

Your complaint loses every ounce of credibility when you have Martin backing up Iggy at SF while Mayo starts at SG.
