Wow. Have fun with that. I tell ya it would probably take about 30 mil to convince me to move to Russia. I'm pretty happy about this actually because it eliminates all the talk of him coming back to Detroit.

Wow. They could actually get good NBA talent dishing out $10M per. Why doesn't one of these European teams offer Carl Landry $7-8M per? He could dominate those scrubs.

Re: Carlos Delfino $30 million in RUSSIA
maaa...how much money do the russians have?!?!?!?!
some of the WNBA players who play in Russia during the WNBA off-season make something like500% more than what they make in the US.
That's a whole lot of cash to throw at delfino. but you also gotta assume that he will be a better player in the Russian league than he is in the NBA. Heck, he might end up being one of the best players there. So from that perspective, it might not seem like its all that much to pay one of the best players $10 million/year.

Re: Carlos Delfino $30 million in RUSSIA
Folks, please handle those numbers with care. There are a lot of people out there writing a lot of stuff, often enough some guy on a website will write something, and soon thereafter it spreads around like a disease, infecting other websites.
A very reliable forum source (and I mean very reliable, because he's giving inside information all year, and he's right in 99% of all cases) had Delfino at 8.500.000€/3years. Think what you want, but I'm sticking with that because the source is much more reliable than the others and because I think even the Russians are not crazy enough offering Delfino, who is not an outstanding player the NBA, nor in Europe, 10.000.000$/year.
And, Lakerfan, giving Delfino 10.000.000$/year and targeting Ricky Davis, of all people, is not good for European basketball. It's insane.

LeBron should sign with a Russian team if he wants to be a billionaire.
Can you imagine 100 mil a year?

Carlos Delfino just hustled that Russian team big time. Oh well, another scrub bites the dust... But as long as Smush Parker doesn't jump to Europe the NBA should be all right.

That guy is such a joke. He changed his argument mid-way through his thread, and refuses to acknowledge his original premise.

The NBA isn't going to be losing stars, it's going to start losing the mid range guys who sign for more in Europe.

The comedy of all of these posts is that someone is always shocked that people outside of North America have money.
For an exploration of this phenomenon, may I recommend the bestseller, The World is Flat, by Friedman, Thomas.
At least then I won't have to read anymore "the Russians have what kind of money?" posts.
