Should the NBA have an Outdoor Game?

Post#1 » by Bucs80 » Wed Jul 23, 2008 9:02 pm

Do you guys think the NBA should have an outdoor game?

I think so, it would draw a whole lot of people to this game. Especially if it's like a Boston vs. L.A. rematch on Christmas or something like that.

You think they should do that?

no, because its not going to be a real outside game, it will be in a stadium with a retractable roof like the wnba game was, that defeats the purpose, i would love to see a real playground game but surely thats outta the question

I thought the WNBA's was lame, if you're going to do outdoor, use the blacktop

It just isn't the same. Basketball was invented as an indoor game and the outdoor courts were made out of necessity. Hockey has a big hard on for the outside because that was the original way and because it's cold. A black top game would be too dangerous for the teams and players and they would still have the NBA foul rules.

How about we force baseball players to start playing games in rain and snow? They are pussies for god sake! STOP DELAYING THE GAME BECAUSE OF RAIN OR SNOW!!!

That's why baseball players get no respect.

Well it's not really a question as they are doing it on October 11th in Phoenix for a preseason game between the Nuggets and Suns. I think it will draw alot of attention and is an unbelievable marketing ploy.

Or its because you cant see a tiny white ball in the air when it's snowing hard.

Because it would affect the game too much if the ball was in different colour.

Agreed. This is pretty lame if you ask me. They should have a preseason game at the Rucker.

People hating but I think they should because that scene was dope last saturday, especially during sunset. Hoopsta Tamika Catchings looked exhaused after the game, huffing and puffing, wind blowing her hair..she had to adjust and couldn't be stopped when she did. It's just cool seeing the pros in a different element. I wanna see a CP3 fastbreak under the night backdrop.

Outdoor stadium is the best your gonna get. Get logical for a second, black top park? Hmm I doubt the pros wanna dive on that.

Yeah, but how sick would it be to Celtics versus Knicks in Rucker Park during the preseason.
