+1
This thread actually has a link. Link trumps random speculation.

The biggest problem is that teams can't offer Biedrins a competitive contract because nobody has space. Biedrins wouldn't have to think about going to Europe if NBA teams could offer him contracts. It's essentially the Warriors v. however many international clubs want to make an offer. There aren't even any other bidders in the NBA.

Why would he be in Europe when he can be a Warrior in the Bay Area? The weather is always cool there, I went today and it was 64 degrees in San Francisco.

A lot of Euro teams would obviously love to sign Biedrins, but who has the money to outbid Golden State?

I wish that the offers reported for these guys in Europe was listed in euros. A lot of these guys don't seem to understand that the offers these guys get in Europe are tax free, which make a huge difference.

If a European team offered Biedrins 4-years, 15€ million, that would be the equivalent of Biedrins signing a 4-year, $40 million (gross) deal in the U.S.
