Ben Gordon needs to decide between basically four different options. The first is for the Bulls to sign-and-trade Gordon, which is a definite possibility. GM John Paxson has recently had disscussion with multiple teams. The Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Hornets are the most recent teams trying to work out a sign-and trade for Gordon. The second option for Gordon is to sign the qualifying offer sheet, play out one more year and become an un-resricted free agent. If the Bulls cannot swing a trade, look for this to most likely happen. The third option would be for Gordon to sign an extension for less money than what he feels hes worth. This likely will not happen unless Gordon suddenly has a change of heart and realizes what the Bulls are offering is actually a pretty fair deal. The last option for Gordon is to leave for Europe, which is the least likely of them all. Gordon has mainly mentioned Europe to hopefully grab the Bulls attention.

The Heat are the only ones that make sense. He could play next to Wade and split the ball handling duties. Haslem and filler for Gordon makes sense for both teams IMO.
Phoenix won't take him unless Diaw is going out and there is no way Chicago does that.
Paul and Gordon is not a good backcourt defensively so I can't see them seriously considering it.

Suns could offer Barbosa, but I'm not certain that Gordon is much of an improvement over Barbosa, if at all

Time to swoop in if you're anyone. I think he's underrated, and could be a steal if he's had at a reasonable price.
Haslem would be useless on Chicago. It's Beasley they need.

that's the thing...he cant be had at a reasonable price...
if he could, chicago would just resign him...
the guy wants 13 mil...most dont even believe he's worth 10 mil...
im sure 4 teams
want gordon...hell im sure every team in the league would like to add gordon...the question is who the hell is going to pay him the money he wants?
if he could be had for 10 mil im pretty sure the bulls would just want to hang onto him seeing as how hinrich is making 9.5 mil and gordon would fit a LOT better next to rose offensively than hinrich

As a Bulls fan, I really hope Bulls resign him and trade Hinrich and/or Nocioni to free up some cap.
I think BG would be perfect compliment in 3 guard combo with Bulls (Rose/Thabo/BG). BG would be deadly playing alongside Rose. BG's 3pt shooting and overall shooting (when open) is very deadly - it's not to great when he has to do everything on his own but if he has a legit creater like Rose, it will really make it hard for teams to collapse when Rose penetrates. Also there is Deng with a really good mid range game.
I think Bulls will make a mistake if they don't resign BG and keep Hinrich.
I hope something along like 6 years $60mil deal gets done with incentives it could go as high as $70mil.
That deal would be less than Kevin Martin and Deng's contracts and that is very fair for both sides.
Hope it gets done.

Well if that's the case the guy should just sign in Europe where he can get an inflated contract. However, if Rashard Lewis can get the money he got, than anything is possible.
My main concern with Gordon is that he's only shown us that he is a scorer; albeit a good one, but not much else.

I think Cavaliers, Raptors or Magic makes much more sense.
Suns have Barbosa who is a similar player. Heat don't really have much to offer and they need a point guard / center. For the Hornets Gordon could be the perfect 6th man-comboguard, but they don't have anything to give up, maybe only Julian Wright. Paul-Pedja-Posey-West-Chandler are not leaving.

Miami's deal would likely have to center around Shawn Marion. Their is no way in hell the Bulls deal him for Haslem because they already have Gooden and Tyrus. Haslem doesn't represent an upgrade for them. Marion clearly does. I don't care whether the Bulls need Beasley or not, they have nothing outside of Derrick Rose that lands Michael Beasley.
For Miami, Gordon could very easily play next to Wade. They could share the ballhandling chores and feed off of each other when the other guy has the ball.
