I'm glad Hawes was mentioned. I was going to throw his name out there for the 'in a couple years' category.

LOL at Wade not having good footwork, the dream shake isn't the only type of footwork you can do

Kaman has, hands down, the best footwork of any big man in the league right now IMO. I don't even think it's all that close. The only other two I'd consider are Shaq (who barely moves anymore) and Tim Duncan (who's footwork isn't as good as it used to be).

Though I think it's (Please Use More Appropriate Word), if people are going to put Duncan at C, though he doesn't play that position, I'm putting T-Mac at SF.

PG - Paul
SG - Bryant
SF - McGrady
PF - Duncan
C - Ming

None of that several players BS.

If you don't allow me to make McGrady a SF, I won't allow you to make Duncan a C out of nowhere and I would put Pierce in McGrady's place.

Sam Cassell should get a mention at PG. While he doesn't have a ton left in his tank now, his footwork has always been very good.

PG - Chris Paul (HM: Sam Cassell)
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - Carmelo Anthony
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Yao Ming (HM: Andrew Bynum)

That's a really good call, actually. Sam gets so little PT nowadays that I forgot about him. Very crafty footwork which allows him to thrive in the midrange game.

At PF I would take Luis Scola. 8-)

What do you think about my choice?

tsherkin wrote:I'd go Deron and Billups at the 1 like most. Kobe at the 2; Rip's "footwork" isn't that great but he's a brilliant off-ball player. He doesn't have much need for what you might call footwork except for where and how he plants his feet coming off of a screen and that's fairly common. You might also mention T-Mac here, because when he does it, he's a sound post scorer with good footwork. Kobe's better, though. Same deal with Vince, and again, Kobe's better.

Pierce, Melo, I'd add in Artest, Odom and maybe Rashard Lewis and Boris Diaw.

KG and Duncan obviously come to mind at the "4," but I consider Duncan a 5, so I'll leave it as Garnett here.

At the 5, J23F and I agree that Kaman deserves some mention, as does Yao, though Duncan is obviously the best here and since I've got him as a 5, he takes this spot.

Odom? As in Lamar Odom?

I think you have to give least athletic guys the benefit of doubts, since that's what they rely on entirely.

Nash
Bryant
Pierce
Duncan
Yao
