Do you like computers? Are you creative? Do you enjoy problem solving? What are your thoughts on Zach Randolph and Eddy Curry being able to coexist on the low block?

If you had a strong opinion on that last question, boy, do I have the right job for you. Yep. Time to tidy up that resume and buy a blue suit with an orange pocket square, folks: the Knicks are advertising for a "Freelance NBA Writer/Editor."

This individual will be the primary Knicks beat writer for NYKnicks.com, writing previews and recaps for all Knicks regular-season and playoff games. Must be able to attend all home games at Madison Square Garden and write 1-2 feature stories per week in addition to game coverage. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a superior knowledge of NBA basketball and prior experience covering the sport for a team site or professional media organization. Persons with a background in the public relations or marketing departments of a professional sports team are also encouraged to apply.

Minimum job requirements include a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or English, strong writing and researching skills, and the ability to make a 50-point loss to the Celtics sound exciting. Best of luck.

The Knicks treat their beat writers like crap, or so every Knicks beat writer seems to say... Besides there's no way I'd work for the Knicks Isiah would probably try to rape me Anucha Browne Sanders style.

Yea i read an article by the Knicks beat guy that also does analysis on NBA TV, forgot his name, he said that Knicks exec's sent employees to spy on him and follow him around and he was supposedly "threatened' to not write negative stuff about them. Knicks employees were forbiden from having any contact with him and he was not allowed to sit on the front row anymore. Apparently the Knicks front office is extremely paranoid. Talk about a hostile work environment, there is a reason they have an opening i guess lol.

Oh my bad, Peter Vecsey does NBA TV too. I think he writes for NY Post so I thought maybe he did the Knicks.

Larry Brown mentioned that hostile environment when he coached there. When he left, I remember he said it was probably the worst job he's ever had. He said something like, "everybody is always looking over your shoulder."
