A Greek Education For Americans

OK this has been going on for a long time now in the forums talking about the Olympics and how Team USA will do. No one disputes they are the favorites. No one disputes they should win the gold. HOWEVER, the utter and complete disrespect shown towards Greece has gone too far for too long.

Spain and Argentina can compete for a medal too but they seem to be getting respect from Americans. The attitude however towards the Greek players is that they suck and their team sucks, they had a "fluke" win against the US. They will get "blown out by 30-40 points" etc. It doesn't even seem to remotely register that they are in fact more dangerous than Spain even is.

Well here is a Greek education for all the American fans here, and you had better damn well hope that Coach K and Team USA is not having your same attitude towards Greece, because if they do they are going to get knocked out again.


A 33 point margin of victory and KEEP IN MIND these are NOT friendlies like the US is playing right now. These were the real deal games with teams fighting against Olympic elimination. BIG difference.

BTW, all the *** in these forums that think Vassilis Spanoulis sucks can just learn something right here. The guy is absolutely off the hook. What he did in 2006 to the US was common place for him. He is more than capable of doing it again.
