D Wade Has Been The Best Player On Team USA

I've been reading some of the other posts in this forum, and you dudes must be crazy as hell. People saying that Lebron has been the best player on the team by far, makes me think that you dudes no nothing bout basketball, or yall some diehard Lebron fans. D Wade has BY FAR been the best player, and the most entertaining as always. Has anybody paid any attention to how this **** been blowing past whole teams with ease. Can you honestly tell me that Lebron has had a bigger impact on the team than D Wade. Wade has been everywhere on both ends also, Lebron too, but Wade hits them passing lanes quicker that i've seen anyone do it in a while.

Im not trying to turn this into a Wade vs Lebron convo, but D Wade will be the most entertaining player in the league for years to come. No player in the NBA can do what he does with the ball, or with contact at the rim, the athleticism and finesse is amazing. While other players in the league has great crossovers in place to create space, Wade will cross a dude in a space or on his way to the basket, which a lot of players can't do. If you disagree with me, explain why.

Man I love both LeBron and D Wade. They are both so good it's ridiculous. I think D Wade has been the best on Team USA so far. You can tell Wade has been in the gym hittin the weights, he looks bigger and stronger. LeBron is just a freak though and at 6'8" 250 pounds he's huge, but one of the quickest guys on the court. I think Wade has more finesse and is more agile, but LeBron is stronger and is just straight power getting to the rim. I honestly can't say who I think the better player is they are both so good.

Its not really a question of who is better. Its more who is the MVP of the team thus far. I would have to say that D-Wade has been pretty impressive especially with the doubts of his health.

Dude, is you serious. You blowed, what can he do better other than pass and shoot spot up jumpers. He is not better at getting to the basket, he is not a better finisher (they are even to me, Lebron has the height and stregnth to finish, Wade has the moves and quickness, Lebron goes through you, Wade goes around you and against you), he is not a better ballhandler, he aint better at creating a shot off the dribble, not better at creating space off the dribble, not a better defender, Wade is currently the best shot blocking guard in NBA history, check the stats and its so much other ****.

Lebron may finish his career as the GOAT, but his size and stregnth has a lot to do with that. Wade is straight skills and athleticism, dont underestimate the size factor. If Lebron had his same skill set but was 6'4, he would not be a as good as Wade if he was 6'8 with his current skill set, ya dig.

I think its Paul Pierce..................Oh wait oppss wrong thread.
Seriously I dont think there is a best player on the US team.
Honestly I think this team will dominate the Olympics like the O.G dream team did, cause of the group of players that are representing the US and Coach C leading these guys.
With the leadership of J.Kidd, Kobe, Lebron, C.P and Howard, this team will out play out hustle everyone.
You can clearly see that these guys are playing In sync, and there is no one individual player.

Lebron is the best penetrator and finisher in the NBA by far, arguably one of the best of all time. Consider that he converted on 71% of his shots inside the paint - that is higher than alot of big men, even Dwight Howard!

I'd also disagree about Lebron not being a better defender. He has grown by leaps and bounds defensively, and is more versatile than Wade due to his size. Heck in the tourney this summer he is defending all 5 positions effectively.

He's also a better rebounder, and a more effective passer. Given Wade's higher TO rate (I'd guess they have similar usage rates) it's arguable he is a more effective ball handler as well.

The argument that Lebron is better because he's bigger is lame too. That is part of the package, much like Wilt dominated in part due to his size, or MJ in part due to his quickness, it is what it is.

I'm not even factoring in the durability issue either...

I'd go with Kobe because he's playing defense and leading by example. I especially like that he was willing to chew out Lebron and Wade when they weren't playing defense against Australia.

Kobe = MVP of the world, believe dat.

I agree on some of that, so we both got good points. U talked bout penetrating and finishing, Lebron might be the best and most effective ever in the open court, no bull. In the half court, Lebron is no where near the level of Kobe, Wade, or Melo. Lebron doesnt have the effective half court moves those 3 have. If you watch Bron, he struggles against set defenses, when players like Wade, Kobe and Melo shine in that area. You cant say best penetrator really at all, especially in comparison to Wade. Wade has that MJ type of quickness you mentioned, and shows that **** constantly to the haters, and people still knock dude. Matter of fact, look at this exact highlight reel, its a lot of Wade plays that have not really been seen, tell me he isint a one of a kind ballhandler.

Kobe has been the best player since he's been taking on the task of defending the teams best defender which other players don't really want to do. He's taken more of a backseat on the offensive end since his scoring isn't really needed and has led through example.

Yeah, but Carmelo was the team's best player through the last two world championships. So kicking him off would be stupid.

Everybody here do me a favor and watch that D Wade highlight reel, after doing that, try to name 2 players in nba history that can move with the rock like that through multiple defenders. I know its not just me, but the dude ballhandling is something thats amazing and pure entertainment. Not many players can switch directions at full speed like Wade can do, that is some MJ type of **** to the fullest.

In terms of offense (which includes assists), LeBron has been the best thus far with Wade being a close 2nd and Kobe a distant 3rd. Defensively, it's pretty easily Kobe.

Overall, I'm not sure. Weighing both offense and defense I'm inclined to say that it's probably a split between Kobe and LeBron, but I'd rather just say that all 3 guys have been equally great overall and leave it at that.

Code: Select all

LeBron
======
15.3 PTS (67% FG), 4.5 REB, 4.0 AST, 3.0 STL, 0.8 BLK, 2.5 TO

Wade
====
18.0 PTS (72% FG), 3.0 REB, 2.4 AST, 2.2 STL, 0.2 BLK, 1.8 TO

Kobe
====
13.4 PTS (50% FG), 2.2 REB, 3.6 AST, 2.2 STL, 0.2 BLK, 1.8 TO
