The Boston Celtics in 2007/08 went from 24 wins the previous year to 66 wins. A jump of 42 wins.

The Toronto Raptors in 2006/07 went from 27 wins the previous year to 47 wins. A jump of 20 wins.

The Phoenix Suns in 2004/05 went from 29 wins the previous year to 62 wins. A jump of 33 wins.

And so, and so, and so...


So which lucky NBA team will have the biggest improvement this upcoming season?

My preliminary pick would be Heat, easily. Not necessarily sure that they'll win against "the field", but they certainly stand out more so than any others. Not tanking, and instead, trying to actually win games, does wonders to your record.

By conference. . .

I like the Bucks in the East: Why? They only won 26 games last year & I could see them easily getting between 37-42 this up-coming year. They are my surprise team in the East.

West: Clippers. . . They are my sleeper team in the West. They have some nice pieces and a frontcourt of Camby, Kaman & Thorton should be interesting to see.

I'd say the Heat in the East and Clippers in the west.

Miami, Milwaukee, or Memphis.

The Heat pretty easily, they only won 15 games last year. With a healthy Dwayne Wade they should easily go .500. The Sonics, Wolves & Grizz figure to continue to be bad. The Knicks & Clipps should be better, but not 26 games better.

EAST: Charlotte Bobcats
WEST: L.A. Clippers

Miami Heat

Milwaukee , Miami, and Portland

^^^^ Portland won 41 games last year. I doubt they will win 60 this year.

It's got to be the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat though.

Celtics: 16 wins

Clippers from 23 wins to 40-48
And in the East, Bobcats and Bucks will improve, but the Heat will get around 20 more wins than last year, from 15 wins to 30-40.

Both (Clipps&Heat) had injuries last year, so the improvement it's a bit fictitious.

With D-Wade, Marion and Beasley the Heat have more talent than their entire healthy roster of last year. I'd expect them to make a massive leap of about 20-30 wins especially since they'll actually be trying to win games.

And yeah, Miami in the East... Probably the Clippers in the west.

Miami overall and they'll still only be the 7 seed at best.

Miami by far.

They only won 15 games.

I expect 20-25 wins in improvement from last year.

Didn't you hear? ANYTHING IS POSSIBLLLLLLLLLE!!!

Heat, maybe the Hawks........ Blazers could also significantly improve, just depends on how their young players respond, but at best case, Blazers could make a run at the #4 spot in the west.
