Don't you love it how the NBA players like these two don't feel like it's their place to speak out about world social issues....and it's ALL about basketball....they need to focus on the job at hand....bla bla bla...

YET...they can both mention the idea of playing for a different country for 50 Mil.....

....discussing their price tag to play in a different friggen country while playing for the USA in the olympics....

Claissics from the classLESS....

While there at it maybe they shoud bring up the issues about Global warming and the price of oil too.
These guys are Athletes not UN ambassadors, Jordan and Nike made millions and millions on cheap labor.
He never voiced his opinion.

I remember when LeBronze James refused to talk about this when Ira Newble was on the Cavaliers trying to bring attention to it.

P.S. I only donated because Kobe Bryant told me to.

So I guess CB4 is unpatriotic for signing an extension with the Raps after his rookie contract. I mean, it wasn't his fault he was drafted to play in the land of the enemies of America, but he actually willingly signed an extension?? I hope he dies in the firebombing we lay down on their asses.

And what is wrong about playing basketball in a different country? So, I guess no american should ever work anywhere else but in USA?

These guys signed on the dotted line to become basketball players. That's what they do. I'm more offended by guys like Vince Carter when they admit that they didn't play their hardest. Its their job to play basketball, nothing more, and certainly nothing less. If they decide to use their powers for good, then all the credit to them but they are definitley not obligated to do so.

I'm more concerned about politicians and the UN and the people entrusted with keeping the world peace not doing anything about Darfur and Georgia right now. That is something of concern since that is THEIR job.

I love all your posts because they are just fantastic

But, Ive always wondered whether youre a girl? Because your posts convey such passion and devotion to the almighty Kobe that only a woman in love could possess.

if America was a communist state then Lebron and Kobe would have no right in talking about being free to get paid or free to say what they want...... but besides that, most americans don't know the difference between being a Patriot and being an American.

I'm going to call him out now. He doesn't like Kobe Bryant, and he's satirically mocking Kobe fans for their overzealousness.

I mean, read the link in his signature. Seriously, am I the *only* person who sees it this way?

LOL like if you were in their position you wouldn't do the same.
Fans need to stop critic athletes for taking money , if you were in their position you would do the same.

OMG, Get a clue. Playing for the NBA doesn't equate playing for the USA. The Toronto Raptors? The former Grizz? Were all those players traitors to the great American empire? You need to get your head out of your patriotic behind and realize that your worlview is totally messed up.

Statements like this invite people to bash the states, and not without good reason.

They are enough threads to put your thoughts floating around this very board.
