Bynum: "Everything's ready to go, 100 percent"

Post#1 » by Derekman » Sun Sep 7, 2008 5:07 am

Lakers' center Andrew Bynum says he is 100% healthy and is ready for the start of training camp, the Associated Press is reporting.

"I'm doing well, man," Bynum said. "The knee's good. Everything's ready to go, 100 percent. I've been training, getting stronger."

"Actually, I'm better," Bynum said when asked to compared his fitness to last summer. "My times on the track are better, and I'm able to lift more weights. I'm stronger. I weigh about the same; I'm 285 [pounds] with less body fat."

Wow, a stronger, 100% bynum with Pau Gasol and Odom as the frontcourt is downright scary. Bynum has all the physical and mental tools to be great in this league, he was putting it all together before the injury. Now with no more pain and swelling in his leg and being 100% ready to go, the Lakers have the best frontcourt in the L with the best backcourt player. Dominance.

None... I prefer Adriana Lima in here. It would make Salt Lake City finally get off the list of the dullest place to play in. Well, not that the Sonics/Thunder franchise didn't do us a favor by moving and choosing the lamest uniforms. Ohh yeah, Marko Jaric comes in the package, but we can live with that.

LOL at the idea of Bynum not being proven. With him in the lineup we were at the top of the Western Conference and blowing teams out by the 3rd quarter. With him out of the lineup (and no Gasol) we struggled to beat the worst teams in the league.

IMO the Lakers were a better team with Bynum than with Gasol.

Well, I'm glad he gets the chance to really prove himself to the rest of the league this year. If he has worked on improving his lower body strength, array of post moves and range he's going to be scary good.

285 pounds and 9% body fat is impressive. Said he'd like to get his body fat% down to 8. I'm really impressed by his work ethic. He should end up as a pretty spectacular player if he keeps working this hard on his game every summer (like he has the last 2 summers at least).

I thought they were a better team with Bynum also until I ran the numbers last week. With Bynum in the starting lineup the team was like 12-8 with Gasol in the starting lineup they were like 22-5. Im pretty sure of the Gasol numbers but not to sure on the Bynum numbers. The win/loss ratio with Bynum in the starting lineup wasnt impressive at all. Now, this doesnt take into account when Bynum was coming off the bench and still getting a double double for the game.
