What are the chances Wade leavse Miami?

With all of the talk about Lebron there has been little speculation what Wade might do. If Miami still has a mediocre team in 2010 does anyone think he might leave to join up with the likes of James or Bosh?

Isn't Kobe Bryant also a free agent in 2010 if he opts out? He's as good as gone imo.

kobe can opt out in 2009 and make a new contract but he probably won't unless the lakers implode this postseason.

Depends on where Miami is. If they make it to the playoffs the next 2 years, he stays, if they don't, I think he's gone. Same goes for Bosh in Toronto and for some reason, I really think these two guys will end up on a team together, I don't know where, but I feel like everyone will point to Lebron as the big prize in 2010 and I think a Bosh and Wade combo will be the real prize.

Honestly, i think there is a very slim chance you see Wade leave.

By 2010, the Heat will be a title contender with many of their young guys having more experience.
But more importantly, because of Pat Riley. Riley always seems to have the ability to entice players to come to miami, and more importantly stay in Miami.

My prediction:

Chalmers
Wade
Haslem
Amare Stoudemire
beasely

Kobe almost surely will, as it will be the most money he can make.

Nobody knows for sure, but I think it's likely Wade stays in Miami. Most money, familiarity/loyalty (great career and opportunities so far), Riley, Spoelstra, Chalmers, Haslem, Beasley, Miami + the ability to sign him and another star will do it.

Amare at C and Beasley at SF, I take it?

I'd love to have Wade here with Calderon, Bosh and JO. That said, I don't see it happening.

I'll tell you what the chances are of anyone leaving anywhere in the summer of 2010 on a key date: June 30, 2010.

How realistic is it, that one of those Euro owners throws one of the NBA superstars around 35 million per year Euros plus. Am more afraid of Wade leaving to Europe, do to the fact, I think one those Euro owners are going to go after Kobe and LeBron. I think both Kobe and LeBron are going to stay in the NBA because they have a shot at breaking many records. Wade played college, had stretch of being injured, so, he really is way less likely to go after individual records. So if one of those owners goes after Wade hard after failing to snatch LeBron or Kobe. I hope Wade will decide that the NBA is were you really make your name, doesn't want to to Euro and play inferior league just for the money. But we all know NBA players think a lot about tthe money.

Wade? LeBron?

What about Bosh? Anyone seen what's going on right now up north?

I'd guess that Wade and Lebron stay put, Amare leaves, and Bosh I'm 50/50 on.

Tough to say who leaves where. If this economic downturn continues and the reports about most NBA owners losing money is true, owners might opt out of CBA themselves. This would probably lead to a CBA with a lower salary cap and salaries. In that event, you might see these players sign extensions with their respective teams to get the most money they can.

Amare wants to be the #1 option on a team. I highly doubt he'd wanna play 2nd fiddle to a player like Wade (which he would HAVE to) if he signs with Miami.

But, if a proper team is in place (and the makings are definitely there) by 09ish, I wouldn't see why he wouldn't want to stay in Miami, unless he wants to go home to Chicago.

fwiw, I also don't forsee LeBron & Wade teaming up, just because of their egos (which isn't that big) of wanting to win on their own.....

Everyone knows what Miami is, right?

Unless there really is some secret pact between all these players to stack up on a few rosters, I doubt Wade leaves. If I was Wade, there would be no situation, and no team that I would rather be on then be the MAN in South Beach. The only way I would leave there is if the team collapses, or if they sign Boozer, because signing Boozer to anything resembling a max contract guarantees that team isn't winning a championship.

Personally, I think Amare will leave as Phoenix will be in full rebuild mode by 2010. Bosh is the 2nd most likely candidate to bolt, and I believe he will sign in Detroit. LeBron, despite all the failed attempts to sign superstars in the past, will leave for New York. I'm really confident in this prediction, but if the Cavs win a title, things may change. Dwyane Wade isn't going anywhere and he has no reason too. Riley has given him the keys to the franchise, there is a banner hanging in the rafters with his name on it, he's already won a title and finals MVP, Miami has great management and they have a really talented young squad with a bright future, and a large expiring contract in Marion. Wade also plays for a franchise in which he has the ability to retire as the greatest player to ever put on a Heat jersey, and I believe he will play his entire career in Miami.

1. Amare is gone
2. Bosh is close to gone (especially if things don't turn around quickly)
3. LeBron is close to gone (as long as the Cavs don't win 2 consecutive titles)
4. Wade will retire in Miami.

Wade has the least chance out of any of the players mentioned to leave Miami. Anyone who follows him knows how much he has bought into the Heat culture. He loves it here, he has a close relationship with the Arison's, Riley and Spoelstra; much closer with Spo as he has always knocked on Spo's door ever since he was a rookie to work on his game. Spoelstra is going to be mentioned as one of the best coaches in the game in the future.

There's also some nice talent being built around Wade. They gave him the perfect PG to compliment him, and they have already played decent off each other and even better defensively. The future is very bright with those two together, and when you add the #2 pick overall from the draft last year into the mix, it gets brighter. Wade knows this too, he has been very vocal about it on post game interviews and he understands that the future is looking very good.

Wade will retire in Miami.
