You talk as if Phoenix were injury prone. You don't get 58 wins per year by being injury prone. Whatever MikeD did both in games and in practices obviously worked. That is the advantage the Knicks will now have, a practice system that can woo valuable veterans and an offense that will woo highlight-reel superstars :D

You win 58 games in the regular season. The playoffs is when the wear and tear starts catching up to you.
If whatever D'Antoni did worked, he would of won a championship or atleast made a finals appearance, especially when you have 3 allstars with one being an MVP. D'Antoni's system is great for regular season but it has yet to produce great playoff results and the Knicks will find that out soon enough.

The failure to win a Ring is well documented in Phoenix, and they have justified beef with the NBA for certain incorrect suspensions. Phoenix did everything right and were literally robbed of a Ring. But no team should feel like they are supposed to win a ring just because they win 58 games each year. Look at teams like the 90s Knicks and Jazz, they were always there but never got over the hump. They were still great teams though. I doubt any other coach (including Phil Jackson) could have taken the Suns as far as MikeD did.
