No idea what backpicks defensive ratings are though i'd guess they're more accurate?

Backpics defensive ratings adjust for opponent faced (their RS offensive ratings). I made a quick calculation of 2015 Cavs defense from basketball-reference stats and they also don't give me -7 defense.


huh, i just checked bball refence...you're right. Wonder where -7 and -5 came from.

edit:

okay did some fishing, i think this might have been the source of the misconception?

The postseason defenses he anchored past 30 in 15 and 16 were -7 against top 5 offenses and -4.5 overall.


Do you have the backpicks ratings for the bulls btw?
