Its comfortably McGrady for me. I see Drexler best suited as a great #2 or elite 1B while McGrady as a clear #1 at his short peak.

It’s an outlier with regards to TS%, but there is still value in being someone that can shoulder a volume scoring load despite average shooting efficiency, especially on offense-depleted rosters, which he had in Orlando and Houston.

And he was always an excellent passer and ball handler. That along with his shot creation made him an extremely strong offensive player, even in his non-03 prime years (01, 02, 04, 05).

I think T-Mac in a year like 05 gets very underrated just because his TS% wasn’t amazing. He even played good defense that year, especially in the playoffs. I’d take 01-05 T-Mac over any version of Drexler offensively. And I’d take 03 and 05 T-Mac over any version of Drexler, period.
