Replace 2022 Zion with Prime Anthony Davis

How far would last year's Pelicans have gone with prime Anthony Davis taking the place of Zion Williamson?

You mean the Zion that didn’t play at all?

With 2018 AD I’d assume they lose to the Warriors in 6 or 7, they were a but better than a .500 team for the second half of the year. If they make it past the Warriors I could see them winning though.

With 2020 AD they win it all I think if he plays like bubble AD

The Pelicans from last year adding a 2018 or so Anthony Davis would be a WCF team in my view, maybe a contender (don't know if they beat the 22 Warriors per-se). I think that improvement could be more representative towards the team after adding McCollum. That addition represents two perimeter scorers that (in theory) could take turns spearheading the offense with AD playing - most so going to be Ingram doing this. Davis has great traditional offensive scalability, which is something that lends itself well when playing with self-creators such as Ingram and CJ.

Defensively, a JVV Davis Herb Jones backline stands out, and AD/Herb is very arguably the best wing/big defensive duo in the 2022 league. I see all of that giving them like a positive compared to average offense and defense, although not sure the scale.

Adding 2019-20 season Anthony Davis (this was really the only season he was healthy) would get the Pelicans to at least the Western Conference Finals last year against Golden State. I'm not sure if they actually beat the Warriors, but they would give them at least a run for their money.
