Offensive or Defensive longevity
What is harder to sustain over a extended period of time. Elite level offensive impact or elite level defensive impact?

Re: Offensive or Defensive longevity
For bigs, I would say offensive value to sustain over the long-haul. For guards, I would argue the reverse and that defensive value is harder to sustain over the long-term.
I think size and length ages well, so as long as a big has good understanding off positioning and get to the places he needs to be, I can often see them still having a big impact, even though they cannot get to all the shots they once could. I think it is harder to take advantage of a big with pure quickness (so the loss of quickness is not as big), and generally bigs only get stronger throughout their career to handle guys in the posts/mid-range area who face-up.

Think this sums it up well. Will be interesting to see how aging bigs(non-Al Horford division) maintain their effectiveness as the league continues to push all-in on PNR spamming and spacing. May be harder for some of those guys to age as well as their predecessors did.
