Lebron is 4-5 by that measure, with two titles. Jordan is 1-3 with zero titles (hm, almost like he consistently had the better team…), and that 1 was in that famous five-game series against the Cavaliers with a hampered Mark Price who was absent for their narrow Game 1 loss. Buttttttt since all injuries are inherently equal I suppose we can leave it at 1-3. Hakeem is 2-6 with one title. Steph is 1-2 with one title but no Finals MVP, and Durant is 3-3 with that same title plus Finals MVP. Bird is 0-1 and Magic is 0-2 from what I can tell; that is pretty funny. Duncan is 0-3. Russell is 1-1 (one title). Shaq and Kobe are 3-2 from 1997-04 (two titles), although they combine for 0-3 when independent of each other.

Post-Russell’s retirement, no one has had it harder at the top end than Lebron, yet no one has won more than him against the top end. You would think every Warriors fan would understand how well he elevates against top competition, but like I said, seems like instead the response to 2016 was just mass delusion.

Nash, maybe, but that was not really the issue with Barkley or Malone, who in some of their best chances lost to “weak” sub-5-SRS Houston teams and of course would have gone up against an even more superior Bulls opponent in all other years.

The reality is that unlike Lebron, they were not able to elevate weak teams over superior rosters. Few ever have been — even when blindly using SRS instead of what should be rudimentary logic.

Lol “I am not mad you beat us, we were not even all that good

Stars you think are worse than Andre Iguodala.

Yeah if you want to penalize players for having great regular seasons and elevating their teams, LeBron looks like the GOAT

Or alternatively, not penalise them for having worse teammates than their opponents. Anyone can win when the deck is completely stacked.

Let's not forget that you're ignoring all their prime years and including LeBrons.

Nope! Those were all career long records.

It's like you think that LeBron not elevating his team to the #1 spot over 82 games is a good thing.

No singular individual has ever made their team the best in the league.

By the way, here are some players records against teams with an SRS below 5.0:

Jordan: 16-0
Curry: 15-0
Russell: 24-1
Kobe: 20-1
LeBron: 35-2
Magic: 26-3

The top dogs don't lose against teams with an SRS below 5.0. 5.0+ is where you separate the strong from the weak. LeBron just doesn't cut it.

And what would it be if we looked at full strength SRS? What about the SRS gap between the teams? Someone with an honest interest would consider all of this, but instead you want to give Steph all the credit in the world for that oh so elite competition he individually overcame in 2017 and 2018 and say obvious bull**** like Lebron just beats up on bad teams. Not even JordansBulls is this bad faith in his “with home court” approach.

If I say the “top dogs” are capable of winning with a worse roster, that is much more meaningful, but since you know Curry is not, you need to pull this nonsense instead.

But yeah, keep blaming all the teammates that he handpicked.

The teammates you believe were worse than four of Steph’s? Yes.

Funny how much you want to praise players who showed loyalty to their front offices… as their front offices built legitimate contenders around them. Duncan had David Robinson from the start. Steph had Klay and Draymond. Jordan had Pippen and Grant. Lebron had… Anderson Varejao. I suppose maybe he should have followed in Jordan’s and Steph’s example and just tanked an entire season to pick up a better lottery talent.

Lets not forget injuries.

Not a single person honestly believes the 2017 Western Conference Finals Spurs were tougher than the 2011 Mavericks, but you are entirely incapable of honesty.

It's funny how upset you guys get when I use stats to point out something that everyone already knows

Everyone knows that is not actually what you are doing. Well, alright, everyone except…

Not in the playoffs, and since when does a Kobe stan care about “impact”

I'm not a stan of anyone.

So we’re giving Steph high-end floor vision and the ability to turn average supporting casts into top 6 offenses with passing alone? And we’re also making him a top 3 defender all time at his position (maybe top?).

Yeah, I’ll take that over Lebron, at least in a vacuum.

LeBron is still clearly better on both side of the ball in the playoffs.
