no i got u. it just annoying every time i come here, ppl say shaq was actually worse than i think

Honestly, Shaq's probably a little underrated on the forum. He was absolutely a dominant beast and I'd have him 5th all-time. It's just that Duncan was even more underrated. He's a top 5 defender of all-time and was also a lot more of an offensive force at his peak than people remember. With his incredible longevity, I think he's a solid 3rd.

really? i remember in shaq peak thread i made ppl kept making args that a bunch of other bigs were better. whats your top 5

1. LeBron
2. Jordan
3. Duncan
4. Kareem
5. Shaq

Shaq was never a dominant defender outside of maybe one season in 99/00 but he was completely dominant as a scorer and rebounder and had an incredibly long prime. He was the key piece on a Finals team in 1994 and still an incredibly important #2 on a Finals winner in 2006. Every year in that stretch, Shaq was a force who was one of the best players in the league and a significant obstacle for anyone trying to win a championship.

Seriously? I think I've seen maybe one list with Jordan outside the top 3 out of hundreds. Lots with him at #2 though. It was actually '95 when Shaq went to the Finals I guess, not '94. He got outplayed by Hakeem in the actual '94 Finals, but he was arguably the most dominant player in the league up until that series. That was the year the Magic beat Jordan and the Bulls in the second round in what felt like the biggest playoff series ever at the time.
