No but among athletes I think the former is far more common. For instance, in the nfl a player getting leg cramps is very common and it often means they are out for a game. As we already said too the MJ game was mostly likely some kind of sickness from bad pizza when the place realized they were delivering to the Bulls in the hotel. So its hard to say exactly how sick he was but the difference is that with leg cramps it can easily mean you are done.
