Behind Shaq, Duncan, KG, Dirk, Robinson, Malone and Kobe. Ahead of Allen, TMac, Vince, Pierce, AI.

As high as 9th behind Shaq, Duncan, Dirk, KG, Kobe, Stockton, Rasheed Wallace and Webber.
I'd take 2001 Robinson over PG but Robinson basically lost his 2002 playoffs to injury. If I knew that Robinson would be significantly injured in the postseason in one of these two seasons in question, I wouldn't take him over PG even though while healthy I would.
Pierce, McGrady, Allen, VC and AI are all at about the same next spot. PG is probably better than these guys, though it is close. Offensively he may be near the bottom of this group but defensively PG is clearly the best.
Kidd is around the top-10 too and is extremely difficult to evaluate because year-to-year his impact metrics are all over the place despite relative stability in his box score production. Not just all over the place in overall ranking but all over the place as well in offense/defense splits.
Definitely take PG over Malone who was in severe decline.
PG would be around the top-10 but it's close.

Rasheed over PG is interesting. I'm sure the advanced metrics are okay, but he's not giving you a lot of volume in terms of points and rebounds. Also, Pierce and McGrady were pretty good defensively during those years. Not arguing against PG there, but I certainly do not think the gap is sizeable. And what about Gary Payton?
