He was 6'4" 220, built like Adrian Peterson with the same speed and even more agility. He would just blow right by people and get to the line for like 10-12 attempts a game, possibly average 33/8/8 with two steals and a block. Wade was *much* better than Dame and Ja Morant and Donovan Mitchell, and arguably a better passer than them besides Morant. He was a terror on defense. I don't know that KD was ever truly better than Peak Wade. Even if he was, Jokic is a much better player than KD ever was IMO. Giannis is close. Giannis is def better than Wade, but Jokic is better than Giannis. We've never even seen Jokic with all-around squads arguably as good as Giannis. We've never seen Jokic with a true all-nba guy. Wade could get like 10 ppg just from cutting and getting out in transition. He'd be an elite point of attack and help defender, helping protect the rim.
I think Jokic being much better than KD is a bit hyperbolic.
I'm also not sure Jokic is better than Giannis come playoff time.
I don’t think anyone should be categorized as “much better” than anyone else here. Most have Giannis and Jokic in a different tier than Wade and KD but I wouldn’t say they are much better, and don’t think Giannis is automatically top 2 in this comparison.
Jokic on a different tier than peak Wade and KD is insanity especially KD. Peak KD is arguably the most portable superstar ever other than maybe Curry. Fits into any offense like an absolute sleeve
