Lebron 2020 or Kobe 01/03/06/08/09 (whichever you prefer)?

2020 James. I think they’re close, and view them (08/09 on Bryant’s case) both as top 15 peaks / single seasons. The Retro POY project description stickied here should have some solid intel around both - as well as the franchise peaks project linked by HCL!

Am tied up with multiple tasks at the current moment, but happy to potentially share more pragmatic analyses for both if I get some time - as a Laker fan, two of my favorite player and team seasons from start to end :)

There was a great project that sought to find the top 5 peaks per franchise; it was led by Odinn21 who seems to have disappeared.

I see 2020 LeBron as one of his better years(maybe like 6th overall) and above any version of Kobe.

No agenda whatsoever. It's actually interesting to me that the vote is turning out this way.
I think it's really close and an interesting debate.

I am a Kobe guy but this is LeBron. I don't think 2020 LeBron in the Playoffs was much worse than 16-18. Kobe is an ATG but that level of play from LeBron is a different kind of dominance.
