Luka Doncic & Kyrie Irving 22-23 Thread -- Luka is not happy

Luka only knows how to play 1 way. Hes been groomed as a prodigy since a teen and to have to do everything on the ball. He never learned how to play off ball or play in a system on offense with movement and decision making from other players.

Its remarkable. Kyrie in the 4th VS Philly was just spotted up damn near the whole quarter while Luka Lukad. Slovenia whole gameplan is play Luka ball too we'll just hit the shots you create for us and play defense.

This could be reading into it too much but Luka has been in 4 all star games now and hes avging 7/5/1.5....OBVIOUSLY its JUST all star games but perennial stars show out in them and have no problem putting numbers up. Luka legit seems clueless on how to play with other star talent. Its fascinating to watch.

The thing is, Kyrie is actually a fantastic off ball player when he wants to be. The fit was never the issue playing next to Harden and Durant, they were actually pretty much unstoppable when they played together, it was a health and personality issue though.

I think this is more on Doncic honestly. People talk about how he just needs help, but he makes LeBron look like Reggie Miller off the ball. Kristaps and Kyrie are legitimately good players when healthy, and even when they played with Doncic, it never looked great.

IIRC the Brunson only lineups didnt do much worse than Luka ones last year. And this year we see Jalen was robbed of an all star. He was 32,5,5 .602ts and up 2-1 VS Utah before Luka entered series too.

Bron used to have these criticisms specially after 2011 but this Luka ball dominance is a complete other level and a career long trend thats had 3 different star level talents now.
