Davis during his Pelicans prime was a 24-28 PPG scorer on ~60% TS, multiple seasons of +150 Ts added, etc. Which is why I've always kind of rolled my eyes at this assertion that he's "not a true #1" and such. No one's confusing him with Jokic or even a guy like Giannis due to his lack of play-making ability, but he's always been capable of being the driver of fringe Top-10 offenses even with somewhat mediocre supporting casts (2015 and 2018) and that was almost entirely due to his versatility as a primary scorer both on and off-ball. And this is why I'll go Jokic/AD here. Jokic's play-making just tilts it too far out on offense for me, and AD is basically the perfect help-defender to complement Joker.
