Why? He is tremendously talented.

I don’t think he has the defense needed to be considered.

You do realize how old this thread is, right?

Yes. I felt the same way at the time, although I will admit he’s turned out better offensively than I was expecting.

Yeah, that was the thing about him--he was heralded as a High IQ, Defensive Center with tons of tools. Ended up being the best shooting center [maybe big man] of all-time but defensively is always out of position [which is why he fouls].

I am not disappointed but yeah, my takes of him [and Wiggins] over Giannis doesn't look good

To be fair, I think most of us were horribly off about Wiggins. I personally expected him to be a defensive stud when he came into the league and after his great rookie year, I felt that he was a future MVP. His lackluster defense that year didn’t bother me as I just assumed he would figure it out. It’s weird looking back on it and think about what if we had kept him, and how happy I am now that we didn’t. He’s still managed a good career all things considered, but it’s unfortunate him and Towns couldn’t be that superstar do we were all expecting.

Wiggins came into the league with great footwork and a shot-profile of difficult shots. During his time with Minnesota, he never really grew. He was basically the same player from Day 1 as he was when he was traded to Golden State. Even in Golden State he is a very similar player.

It should be a good way to understand how we evaluate players.

I am adding Myles Turner, Nikola Jokic, Nurik, Brandon Ingram, Emmanuel Muydai, Demar Derozen and Klay Thompson to the list.

One of those does not belong there.

Future MVPs . . . One?

Demar copeted for an MVP, Klay was like Ray Allen level, Muydai busted, Ingram is awesome when healthy (and no Simmons), Nurkik was incredible before injuries, Jokic was a flat hit, Turner is also incredible.

I guess he meant Jokic?

Pick every player you think could be an MVP wait 6 months and add to that list. If you can bat better than 1 out of 7 in that situation, with this question, God Bless you.

I thought he could be TMac. In retrospect, no handle.
