Outside of rings what advantages does curry have over james

Harden has more career mvp shares, a higher career win share per 48, almost 30 more career win shares, a higher career box plus minus, more career vorp. And is 3rd all time in 3 point makes. The advantages curry has over harden is rings, and that’s why I have curry ranked over harden all-time but it’s not some wide gap that people would have you believe. I mean curry is known as a scoring guard and barely has over 20k career points.

I’ve been somewhat defending harden this thread and I don’t think the gap was crazy at their peak but Ur not a serious human being if any of those stats move you lol

They've both had shots at an eye of the tiger moment, and Harden really scewed up his. I don't think it's a big gap between them per se, they're both in that range that clearly isn't as good as peak Shaq, peak LeBron, Peak MJ in the playoffs.

but did harden really? almost all of his most publicized or notorious bad playoff moments have come in arguably his least important seasons, where the team wasn't going to do much anyway. or like clippers game 6 (which is way more about brewer/smith going crazy than harden having some historically bad game), his team won anyway.

his worst moment is the no-show in spurs game 6 in 2017. but that was just for the right to play game 7 in san antonio with kawhi back. and that series was just for the right to be obliterated by the 2017 warriors. his famous 12 turnovers game in 2015 was in the conference finals, but it was the 5th game of a gentlemen's sweep, after harden had a spectacular first 4 games and his team was still losing 3-1 so there was basically no chance they were winning unless he started averaging 40/10/10. he wasn't good in the 1st round against portland in 2014, and arguably not in the 1st round in 2013, but those are 4th seed and 8th seed teams that weren't going to do much.

his actual prime years with good teams that had a shot were 2018, 2019, and 2021 (and maybe 2020 if you want to count that). in 2018, he went up 3-2 on a team people thought was unbeatable and got stopped by cp3 getting hurt, in 2019 he had probably his best series ever against exactly who you would want to have it against in the warriors, and 2021 he had maybe his best statistical series and then got hurt 40 seconds into the next series. over the 2018-2021 stretch, he led 7 of his 8 series (both teams) in game score. a remarkable accomplishment considering he faced curry (x2), durant (x3, once as a teammate), lebron, AD, jimmy butler, and donovan mitchell (x2). the 4 year stretch where he had his best chance was where he actually played his best and where his team gave the warriors their best fights ever.
