The second trio is better balanced positionally, and in terms of offense/defense.

Both teams are going to win 65+ games plus a title every year they are healthy. So the question is which team would maintain health and prime level longer and the answer is likely team b given that LeBron is still great at 38/39, Reggie was going strong up to age 36 and KG had a 9 year prime plus 5 more good seasons after his injury. So the title window for them could easily be 12-15 years long. Team b probably also has a slightly better fit.
