I think most will just go bu what they heard/feel with no real idea on Years played or impact during that time. Admittingly I'm not fully on top of it but if if you give both similar production Lebron has 3 appearances versus Kobe 2. People also remember the 'finals game' of Kobe but forget how monstrous Wade/Lebron were throughout.

Easy argument to make considering the specific context of Team USA and having such a comparatively poor competition as to where only 1 game, 2 at most, matter.

Oscar Schmidt is an easy #1 for Olympics. Not sure I'd have any USA guy over Pau Gasol, either.
