Question as promoted in the title.
For me it’s
• Jokic
• Embiid
• Shai
And then a fair share of others behind them. Curious to see what others’ lists look like

Current season MVP leaderboard

Re: Current season MVP leaderboard
I'd have the same top 3 with Jokic at the top. Embiid vs. SGA is an open debate. If we disregard team record for right now and focus only on individual performance I'd have Haliburton in that or close to that group but I don't see him winning the actual MVP this year.
I think those are the clear front runners at this point. Then follows a group of players that have an argument for top 5 and may even break into that upper group: Luka, Giannis, Tatum, Curry, Booker, Durant and even LeBron (less likely to be sustainable, though). Perhaps add Edwards but I'm not fully convinced yet. Anyone else I'm missing?

I’d add Butler / Bam with this same logic in mind, though lower in this fraternity. The same could be said for D. Fox

Lines up pretty much exactly with the current EPM rankings.
1. Nikola Jokic +9.3
2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander +8.3
3. Joel Embiid +8.2
4. Tyrese Haliburton +6.6
Curry, Giannis, LeBron, Luka, Booker and Durant occupy spots 6-11 with ratings between +5.7 and +5. Tatum and Edwards are +4.2 and +4 respectively but they're the highest ranked players on the 1st seeds.
The only one who is "missing" would be Chet Holmgren as he's 5th with a +6.1 but he's not getting it over SGA. Could be a serious DPOY contender though.
