Again, no value.

Do you know why Iguodala won Finals MVP? Because he can put the ball in he bucket AND defend LeBron James. Draymond Green can't do either. LeBron OWNS Green.

He's also a leader amongst leaders. Green is coattails riding bitch-ass punk.

Editing over and over again is hilarious

Warriors Iggy over prime Dray is one of those takes that I’m not gonna engage serious and instead am going to laugh at, I think Dray is overhyped here to all hell

Iguodala was a better defender, better passer, better decision maker, better shooter, better scorer and a MUCH better leader.

Meanwhile Draymond was just so bad on offense that they needed to give him the ball to make him useful (while simultaneously running Curry and Klay into the ground to help him out). That's what happens when you cant shoot, finish or move laterally with the ball.

Ur not gonna have a serious conversation when the first thing you say is iggy was a better defender lmfao

Is it? Is there a very large gap between the two?

2015 Klay Thompson (Per 75):

25pts
3.3asts
+5.7% rTS
+10 relative Ortg w/Thompson on-court

2006 Gilbert Arenas(Per 75):

27pts
5.5asts
+4.5% rTS
+4 relative Ortg w/Arenas on-court

Yeah, their numbers are not that different. But it's worth noting that Arenas is a point guard and one who did not really have a chance to play with other great offensive players.

Klay did not have to initiate the offense and he had a teammate who commanded double teams all the time. It's not zero-sum because some of that also demonstrates Klay's value as an offball player (versus Arenas ability to create against set defenses), but in terms of ability to put the hoop in the bucket they're likely not that close.

He was a much better defender. MUCH better. Probably the best perimeter/1v1 defender I've ever seen. He won a Finals MVP because Green couldn't defend LeBron, but he could.

Green was louder, but Iguodala was the leader.

As good as Klay is, he's no more than an elite 3&D guy as others have pointed out.

The offence ran through Arenas during his Warriors and Wizards days, he wasn't a good defender, but he would drop buckets every night

I knew that you made some wack comments from time to time as a result of being a Warriors homer, but jfc. I didn't think you'd have such wack opinions about your own franchise :-?
You said to me “I will give you scissor seven fine quality animation".

You left then but you put flat mediums which were not good before my scissor seven".

What do you take me for, that you treat somebody like me with such contempt?

Gilbert had a short period where he was a legit superstar. Klay, to me at least, was always a beneficiary of the Warriors system. Arenas had more of a repertoire.

A backcourt of Gil & Steph with Klay at the three would be lethal but you would for sure need a large big next to Draymond, ala Dwight, Rudy etc!

LukaTheGOAT wrote:My instinct is to say Arenas who was really ahead of his time in terms of 3 pt shot volume.

Gilbert Arenas from ‘05-‘07 put up (per 75):

• 26.1 points
• 4.0 rebounds
• 5.4 assists
• 1.8 steals
• 2.5 3PM on 6.8 3PAs
• 57.0 TS% (+3.5 rTS%)

Per the old BPM, he actually lead the entire league in O-BPM in 2007.

Ahead of his time, but not really anywhere near Klay in terms of volume/efficiency right? Granted the shot profile looks very different, but it just seems strange to cite 3pt volume in a comparison against Klay of all people
