Who Would You Rather Have (WWYRH) #5 - tie (Kareem, Hakeem)

New rule - since this is a pretty casual ranking - if it ends in a tie, we will use the most recent RealGM Top 100 list as a tiebreaker. Since LeBron and Duncan tied, I'll give the nod to LeBron since he's higher on the RealGM list.

I'll pick this up more in the offseason as an offseason activity.

2 - Bill Russell
3 - LeBron James
4 - Tim Duncan

It's center galore right now...

You can't go wrong with any of them. While I think Kareem had the better career, I like my Center being versatile, and I think Hakeem is still the best "in a vacuum, in any era" Center the game has ever seen.

Looking at Wilt or Kareem here, ahead of Shaq for defensive value as their offenses are all tremendous. Though Hakeem is the best defensive player left, he wasn't particularly efficient even in the best spacing lineup of his generation nor was he a good passer most of his career so his offensive game falls behind the other great centers and even KG for me. If terms of non-bigs, I have Magic, West, or Curry slightly ahead of Bird. I think Kobe is a level below the other greats here but up with Erving and Oscar at the top of the next group.
