Curry had a very high rate of on-ball possessions his entire prime. His playmaking was good to very good his entire prime. This 2015 season in particular Curry had the same AST rate as LeBron and Rondo. And a higher one than Lowry and Harden, by far.

Assist rate does not measure how much you use the ball, as evidenced by Rondo and Lebron coming up in the same sentece.

What's your opinion on what we are discussing here

curry is significantly worse with the ball in his hands than luka is and accordingly is not given the same on-ball responsibilities

Where did I say otherwise? Where did he even say the affirmative?

My point is that Curry is not losing effectiveness with more of an on-ball role. He would just scale his volume up, probably by more than posters here think.

And I don't think high volume off-ball play is easier and less taxing than on-ball. It's essentially one in the same. There's no physics loopholes out there.

The loophole is teams pay more attention to players with the ball than players without it, and that applies to curry as well.

Your platonic ideal for offense is not actually ideal offense

..Okay. Expand on that. Because again, you are creating responses to things I didn't say. I'm trying really hard to believe you are typing things in good faith and that this is not just essentially the equivalent of "i disagree" but with absolutely nothing to agree with.

I never said, a single thing, about ideal offense, and neither did the poster I was actually posting toward.

So here's your chance to actually tell me what you think I think, and why what you think is right.

Nah bur Klay's lack of creation ability makes this Luka and Kyrie for me man. And Luka has never once been stopped in the playoffs despite almost always having the worse team before this year.
