I'd have some minor quibbles here and there, but overall this is a remarkably good list. I feel like 99% of the time when I'd see something like this posted, I'd tend to fixate on one or two things I agreed with, but my overwhelming impression is just what a good job you did with this and how remarkably similar it is to what my own list would be.

Is this based in player quality, or is it more based around a “player of the year” concept?

Dwight over Lebron is somewhat egregious right?

Honestly it wouldn't be so bad if Dwight were a proven chemistry/bbiq/leadership type of guy but in hindsight we know he's bad if not terrible in all 3 of these areas and granted it was his best rs but his team also lost in the 1st rd to the Hawks while LeBron's lost in the finals in 6 games. So I think LeBron should be ahead of him. I also wouldn't agree with Steph over LeBron in 2015 but his team won the title so I guess some people think he was the better player that year. I mean its defensible but I don't think he should be ahead of LeBron in really any of those years(15-18).

So only 1 person here has the MVP of the league, all-nba first teamer in their top 5 in 2011? Do people even have Rose in their top 20 in 2011? Insane.

I imagine he would comfortably be in everyone's top 10 for that year if the lists reached that long.

Years like 2018 confuse me. Maybe they shouldn't.

LeBron was so so good in some ways, but just not good in others like defense. Pouted throughout the season and played terrible RS D overall. By far the best offensive player in the 2018 playoffs.

2012 was loaded with really bad playoff runs for a variety of reasons. Howard injured and missed it entirely, which I don't care about too much. But Wade was getting his knee drained, and CP3 was hobbling through injury, they get docked even though they could've just missed time like Howard and not have it against them?

Then KG was a ridiculously dominant player in 2012. And actually stifled LeBron big time in their time on the court agaisnt each other in 2012. It's essentially a more skilled, much more resilient version of what Gobert would do in the early 2020's IMO. And I don't see why he was much worse in 2013. They crushed NY's really good offense in the first round.

I want to TBD 2013 as well.

16 Curry's injury messes with me too. Draymond basically carried him in the playoffs overall.

Can you explain where you would have him?

Clearly worse than LeBron, Dirk, Wade and Dwight.

I have him worse than CP3. Kobe and Durant both have strong arguments as well.

I'm a huge Kobe guy but it's hard to see him top 5 in 2011 or 2013. 2011 he was simply gassed and injured in the Playoffs, looked way worse than the title years. 2013 he was definitely top 5 RS, but the Playoff injury is the issue here, hard to put him over guys like Curry and Duncan who actually killed it in the PS.

2012 gotta have KG in there too imo, that Playoff run was crazy.

2018: how come Steph tied for first after missing over 30 games + a whole Playoff series?

Otherwise most of it looks pretty solid.
