Some of the best defenders ever at their positions and both elite passers too. Who had the better peak?

Kidd took two teams who's second best player was Richard Jefferson into the Finals, and managed to push the Spurs in the Finals to six games, before winning a ring as key contributor to Dirk's Finals run. He was also the third player to reach 1900 three-pointers in a career, and is second in both steals and assists, though Chris Paul will likely pass him in the latter two categories. This shouldn't even be an argument.

Agreed. Jason Kidd at his peak was a top 10 player for several years and an MVP candidate in 2002. Though I'd say KMart was the 2nd best player in 2002 while Vince was in 2005.

They didn't make the Finals in 2005, I was referring to their run from 2001-2003. Looking at their stats, I picked Jefferson as the second best player because of his scoring efficiency both years.
