A big part of Draymonds passing is that he doesn't look to score and teams don't try to defend him. If he had any actually scoring ability his passing would not translate. If teams try to defend him he disappears. He does not have elite passing skills.
In 2022 the Celtics made the mistake of actually trying to defend Draymond a little and letting Curry go 1v1 vs the defensive player of the year. Curry destroyed them and Draymond was nonexistent.
