The NBA 3 point line was shorter during 1995-96 (along with 1994-95 and 1996-97). I wouldn't put much stock in the 3 point numbers from that period. Volumes temporarily rose, along with efficiency, and then both cratered when the line was moved back.
3 point attempts per game:
1993-94: 9.9 @ 33.3%
1994-95: 15.3 @ 35.9%
1995-96: 16.0 @ 36.7%
1996-97: 16.8 @ 36.0%
1997-98: 12.7 @ 34.6%
The strength of a Jordan / Pippen / Robinson is the defence and athleticism. The ability to score efficiently in space. They aren't going to be a genuine 3 point threat, based on their careers, and you'd probably want to surround them with guys that would create good spacing.
