'02 MJ was a poor man's version of Iverson. He provided solid value as an Offensive Hub. He was still proficient in taking care of the basketball, Scoring TOV% of 5%. Solid creator yet was grotesquely inefficient overall. '02 MJ was dead last in the NBA in TS ADD -155.2. Provided neglible value as a defender, overall low-end All Star in 2002. Low-end role player in 2003.

LeBron in the last 10 games prior to his last game he was turning the ball over like a mad man & was tremendously inefficient with TS% of 49.8%, but before that 10 game stretch he was playing far better than Wizards MJ ever did.

MJ’s mistake wasn’t coming back it was waiting 3 years instead of one. He could’ve returned after the lockout season and stolen a title with the Heat or Knicks. They at least win the East.

He knew what he was doing. And he would have looked better if Artest hadn't dorked his ribs in the preseason. How good, who knows, but better. And the roster didn't help.

Phil was pretty clear that LA was an option and anyone would generally have been thrilled, especially with him on the minimum contract he took. But he wanted to see what could be done on that roster, which was an ego-driven move pertaining to his dalliance with management and all that.

I think it was mainly due to them giving him a piece of ownership and basically running the team. I think la was off the table mainly because he wasn't going to la to play 3rd fiddle to Shaq and Kobe. That was never an option for him. I think he just wanted to compete and he'd much rather be on a team where he can shoot as much as he wanted to then try to just be a role player on a team that had a chance at a title also.

Yes, I suspect MJ never seriously entertained anywhere but the Wizards due to his involvement with ownership.

Wizards jordan had a -3 to -5 relative true shooting while chucking the most, had low assists and was not a plus defender

He was a lot more similar to 14-16 kobe that most would acnowledge

Post removed for baiting, 1st time I've noticed it with this poster so no warning.

Please stick to Jordan and don't turn this into another LeBron/Jordan thread.
